Abstract: In Planet of the Apes, a film shot in 1968, the viewer contemplates a change of roles in civilization: a new world in which the human being is a primitive beast dominated by super intelligent apes. The relation between the film and the moment in which Darwin makes his well-known Theory of Evolution is evident, although in the film it is the apes who adopt the role and beliefs of humans: creationist ideas, totalitarianism, social classes, fear and submission to the different.
